Why should I be in a small group?

Church isn’t meant to be done alone. Small Groups are where big church becomes personal; it is where friendships form, faith grows, and people walk through life together. Whether you’re new to Hope Church or have been here for years, a Small Group is one of the best ways to feel connected, supported, and encouraged.

1. You Were Made for Community

God designed us to grow in relationship with Him and with others. Small Groups give you a place to belong, not just attend.

2. You Grow Stronger Spiritually

Faith grows best when it’s practiced. In a group, you’ll discuss Scripture, learn together, and encourage one another to keep taking next steps.

3. You Have Support in Every Season

Life gets hard. Small Groups provide people who will stand with you, celebrate with you, and help carry burdens when needed.

4. You Discover Purpose and Use Your Gifts

Small Groups are a great place to serve, lead, and build confidence in the gifts God has put inside you.

5. You Build Real Friendships

Small Groups create space for meaningful friendships, not surface-level connections.

What to Expect in a Small Group

Small Groups can look different depending on the group, but what you can expect is:
    • A warm welcome and conversation
    • A Bible-based discussion
    • Prayer and encouragement
    • A relaxed environment where you can be yourself
You don’t have to be a Bible expert. You don’t have to have it all together. Just come as you are.
Hope Church has several groups that meet along the Coast on various days of the week.  Let us know if you would like more information about joining one of these groups.
